This is me at my desk working on this
page.
A little about me... and some of the questions I get asked about. I graduated
barber school in 1982 (I think). I went To John Patterson. I went to work at the Prattville square Barber shop,
after being in school about 6 months. I worked there for around 7 months. I went to work at the Normandale Sebring,
Worked there around 7 days.........I went to work at a Cool Place in the One East building called Advanced
Appearance. I worked there for a little over 2 years. At the time, You could work as an Apprentist Cosmetoligest
for 2 years and take the test to get your license. So I almost starved to death for 2 years. If any of you out
there are reading this,... and Work in a Chain Store type Salon......GET OUT OF THERE!!!!! You Will Never be HAPPY!!!The
money never filters down to the people doing the work!!!! GET OUT!!!!! .............. Ok.......So...
I went to a shop called Curti's Barber Shop a year befor , and he didn't need anyone at the time. He kept my number,,,,had
heart surgery,,,,,,,, and other problems,,,,,,,, called me, and thats been over 20 years ago.......Time gos so fast!!!!!!!

- Who cuts my hair? MY Wife
- Why did you become a barber? After dropping out of a community college in Texas, and Troy State here
in montgomery,I wanted to do somthing that didn't take a long time to Learn. And the rocket science school was full.
- How Long have you been in Alabama? Moved back about the time ELVIS died.
- Is it bad on your back, legs, and feet standing all day?.....Yes, but it hasn't bothered me yet...when I'm
older, I can see cutting back.
- Ginger or Mary Ann?....Ginger
- Alabama or Auburn?.........Ginger
- Movies? Replacement Killers,Comming to America,The Big Bounce, Most action Packed Stuff.
- TV? Sopranos, Big Love,American Idol and the first 15 minutes of Leno and Conan.
- Music? Red Hot Chile Peppers,Van Halen,Other 80s Stuff..
- Books?.....Mostly the trashy magazines I get at the shop..
- Have you ever cut a Black Guys Hair? A cupple of times......
- What do you do with all that hair you sweep up? Gos in the trash.
- How many Haircuts do you do in a day?.....Ginger!!!
- Whats that shelf that gos arount the top of the shop? It was For Hats.Curtis Collected them.
- What happened To all the hats? Hats got in bad shape because of all the smoke.When I Put up the NO SMOKING
signs,The Smoked up Hats Went too.
- Did You Make the Airplane Hanging over the coke machine? No.....
- How do you keep up with Who's next? I can remember about 3 people....after that,I use a pilot G-2 pen and
a small yellow leagle pad.......some times I still screw up!!! People are always running in and out, on their cell phones,
to have to have a smoke.. or whatever......Your not one of them,,,are ya? I didn't think so....
- Rogain or any of the other hair growing drugs work?.....Well.......I can't say No.....But.....I
have never seen any change in anyone yet........(and I see alot of people)....Must be someone in the medical lab some
where growing some.......If anyone ever comes up with anything good.......They won't have to ADVERTISE.................
